Today an exciting new phase begins for the 3D printing community in Bremen: The state of Bremen is awarding the Bre3D Award 2026 for the third time for outstanding ideas in the field of additive manufacturing. As the Bremen Senate Press Office reports, the submission period runs for four months and companies, scientific institutions and private individuals from Bremen are invited.

What is the aim of the competition? Quite simply: to present the multitude of industrial applications in Bremen and to choose outstanding examples. Bremen has established itself as a European competence center for 3D printing, known for its progress in industrial development and production. We are not only looking for successful projects, but also for new ideas, designs, sketches, prototypes or models. An exciting challenge for creative minds!

Conditions of participation and categories

The Bre3D Award is presented by the Senator for Economics, Ports and Transformation and the WFB Wirtschaftsförder Bremen GmbH. Companies, people and institutions based in Bremen are allowed to take part, including start-ups. An expert jury will select the winning projects in several categories.
