On July 6th, 2025 it's that time again: The Schlagermove inspires in Hamburg with its colorful party. Around 300,000 pop fans have come to celebrate the largest pop parade in the world. The festive parade starts at 3 p.m. and moves across the Heiligengeistfeld before creating an exuberant atmosphere on the Reeperbahn and in St. Pauli. NDR reports about 50 trucks carrying artists like G.G. Anderson and Olaf Henning are cast, and the participants are treated to a musical journey through time through the 70s.
This year the Schlagermove is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Despite possible rain, the anticipation of the visitors has not been diminished - up to 400,000 people are expected to spend an unforgettable time on the Heiligengeistfeld and the surrounding streets. The historic route leads over Millerntorplatz, the Landungsbrücken and St. Pauli Hafenstrasse. Security precautions and arrival
As with every major event in Hamburg, extensive security measures have been taken at the Schlagermove. The police are on site with several hundred emergency services and are keeping an eye on the situation both on the ground and from the air. The aftermove party will continue the celebrations from 5:30 p.m. in festive tents on the Heiligengeistfeld. Here you can celebrate with some excellent beats from DJs and live acts until late in the evening. The atmosphere will also be great at the buffet on the trucks and the festival tents. The big parade officially ends at 8:30 p.m., but that's when the celebration will really get going.
