In the 2025 summer transfer period, Arminia Bielefeld lost eight players, which really messed up the team structure. A top regular player, Louis Oppie, has left the club for FC St. Pauli, with the transfer fee amounting to around two million euros. This seems to be a good deal for everyone involved, because Oppie has already integrated prominently: in the first games against Borussia Dortmund and Hamburger SV, he scored four points with his new team and was on the pitch throughout.
The returnee Marius Wörl was another exciting story. After a long loan to Hannovers 96, where he was able to collect at least some playing time in the Regionalliga Nord, Wörl returned to Bielefeld a week before the transfer deadline. At 21, he has a promising career ahead of him. He prefers to play in central midfield, but also has what it takes for defensive and offensive roles. He is currently contractually bound to Bielefeld until summer 2029.
Departures and new challenges
The departure of André Becker, who is now permanently moving to Ulm after a six-month loan to Waldhof Mannheim, shows that not every player makes the big breakthrough. In his previous two appearances, Becker remained goalless - more was possible. Mika Schroers preferred to move to Alemannia Aachen shortly before the market closed. He was in the starting line-up on matchday 4 and took a penalty, which is a good sign for his integration into the new team.
Nassim Boujellab's move to TSV Havelse was also mixed. He has only missed a few minutes of play so far, but his team has had mixed results with two draws and two defeats. Max Lippert is fighting for a permanent place at 1. FC Köln II, while Merveille Biankadi and Semi Belkahia continue to look for new clubs. It remains to be seen where their path will lead.
