The public prosecutor's office is investigating his disappearance on October 10th, and the alleged murder took place on the day of his disappearance. The police assume that the boy was killed between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and then dumped in the forest near Klein Upahl. In order to cover up traces, his body was apparently set on fire.
