Heimatcheck in Ludwigslust-Parchim: Citizens demand clear improvements!

Ludwigslust, Deutschland - What does the future bring for the Ludwigslust-Parchim area? A recently carried out survey on the home check shows that many people in the region feel comfortable and appreciate the calm atmosphere and the good infrastructure. Nordkurier reports of almost 1000 personal comments that should not only show positive feedback, but also critical points that are intended to improve.

The construction of a swimming pool in Ludwigslust, an expanded call bus connection, is among the proposals. Another important concern is medical care, since there is currently a lack of dentists, which forces citizens to drive to Schwerin to take advantage of these services.

investments in the infrastructure

The district of Ludwigslust-Parchim cannot be ripped off over 16 million euros in the transport infrastructure for the financial year 2025. District streets, bike paths and bridges are to be used. A decision of the district council in a double budget 2024/2025 enables the implementation of 14 significant projects in the construction calendar.

Important construction projects include the fundamental expansion of K 59 in Dütschow, which is intended to increase traffic safety, as well as the expansion of the K 29 between Pätow and Steegen, which is planned from May to November 2025. Around 1.5 million euros are invested here. The construction of a new bike path along the K 30 from Hasenchäge to Sülte, which has a construction period from August to December 2025, will also mean gain in quality of life for cyclists.

a step towards equivalent living conditions

The district's efforts are part of a larger goal: creating equivalent living conditions in Germany. BMWSB explains that the spatial planning law promotes sustainable politics that reconciles economic, social and ecological concerns. In this context, the Federal Government has committed to supporting structurally weak regions and strengthening the balance between urban and rural areas.

This political mandate includes the creation of attractive habitats in both the city and the country. In rural areas in which many people live, these measures are particularly important to counteract the emigration and to guarantee the citizens a livable environment.

Developments in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district bundle the hopes and concerns of the citizens and show that regional commitment and responsibility can go hand in hand to make a more livable future.
