The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital to have a blood sample taken. His driver's license was confiscated. The amount of damage is estimated to be around 3,000 euros - a high price for an ill-advised decision. The Baltic Sea newspaper reports that police are now searching for the unknown pedestrian who left the scene before officers arrived. Anyone who saw the woman is asked to contact the police.
