The last appearance of Fiedler: Women's choir celebrates 53 years of success!

What could be nicer than celebrating the summer with music? The women's choir Friendship Neustrelitz e.V. invites you to a concert in the picturesque orangery Neustrelitz on July 5 at 4 p.m. And how could it be different in such a special year? This concert has a very special meaning, because it will be the last leadership of Hans-Joachim Fiedler, who has steered the fortunes of the choir for 53 years.

The Friendship Women's Choir was founded in 1948 and has since developed from a small group of singing -loving women to a nationally and internationally recognized orchestra. Under the direction of Hans-Joachim Fiedler, who has had the choir since 1972, the ensemble was able to celebrate many successes and is known for its wide repertoire. This ranges from home and folk songs to motets and art songs from all over Europe, often in original language. The name "friendship" was deliberately chosen to emphasize the community and cohesion of the singers, especially in the time of reconstruction after the Second World War.

A look at the awards of the choir shows the high quality of the performances. These include the gold medal of the workers' festival in 1980 and 1982 as well as the Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben medal in 1997. In addition, the women's choir regularly took part in national and international competitions and achieved consistently good success.
