Double premiere enthusiastic: dance art, clichés and emotional stories!

Historische Nervenheilanstalt Domjüch, Neustrelitz, Deutschland - The stage was festive and creative when the German dance company presented an outstanding evening with its own choreographies of the ensemble element. There were five dancers in the spotlight, who dealt with their individual cultural imprints and inner soul worlds. The spectators were taken on a moving journey that celebrated both the emotions and the artistic diversity of the group.

The choreography "It is not all samba" by Vinícius da Silva, presented by Sara Branco and Franziska Schüller. This piece was a refreshing examination of the clichés about Brazil. The performance of the dancers was accompanied by different musical performances, including the piano accompaniment by Melissa Rümpler. Linn Rümpler presented her solo "alone", which included intensive research into your own body in the room.

an evening full of emotions

Noé Plasencia showed his creative range with the choreography "Engel", which was the focus of human relationships and was danced by Franziska Schüller and Emma Lucia Barattini. Daisuke Sogawa also contributed significantly to this evening with his three choreographies. "Day of Tears", inspired by Mozart's Requiem, is a powerful piece in which several dancers embody the thoughts of grief. His solo "Human" with Emma Lucia Barattini explores the topic of self-exploration, while "Completed (not)" addressed the fascinating world of Axolotl. These different performances reflected the variety of human experiences and created a deep emotional impression.

The evening was rounded off by the performance of "Camille" after a choreography by Jutta Ebnother, which was brought to the stage in the summer of 2023 and addressed the tragic history of sculptor Camille Claudel. Claudel was an extraordinary artist of the 19th century and the Muse of Auguste Rodin. Ebnother has dealt with Claudel's life and work for many years. Various fragments are presented in "Camille" that illuminate the moving fate of Claudel. The ensemble members Nicola Clarissa Gehring and Johanna Sogawa dance this piece in the historic nervous hospital Domjüch, a special place that gives the performance additional difficulty. When asked about the sources of inspiration, Ebnother explains: "The tragic intensity of Claudel's fate and emotions is the core of this work."

A look into the future

After the successful evening, managing director Marco Zabel made it clear that despite financial uncertainties, the German dance company will continue with full enthusiasm. Future performances of "Camille" are already scheduled for June 28, July 20 and August 10. In addition, a selection from the "cycle of the elements" will be presented on August 6th, which will take the audience into the world of expression dance again.

Overall, this evening was not only a sign of artistic creativity, but also a strong commitment to the importance of dance in today's culture. So it remains exciting what the German dance company will present in the future, because with such a creative approach it is certain that it will continue to be very popular.
