Fête de la Musique: Celebrate with unforgettable music in Neustrelitz!
Happy sounds and colorful hustle and bustle await the citizens of Neustrelitz, because on June 21st the city will once again become the stage for the 5. Festival of Music. On this day, the longest day of the year, the event starts at 4 p.m. and stretches from Schloßstrasse via Schlossberg and Schlossgarten to the harbor. A whole potpourri of musical performances is offered, including choirs, soloists and bands - all live and open air.
Music lovers can particularly look forward to the rock band Fizyka Płynów from Szczecinek, which will be performing in the Kunsthaus courtyard at 4 p.m. Later in the evening at 8.30 p.m. three talented vocalists from Szczecinek will give a concert on the Schlossberg. The entire program is on the website www.fete-neustrelitz.de/fete-2025 visible.
Diverse attractions for everyone
The Fête de la Musique is a real crowd-puller and promises to attract even more visitors than in previous years. “Music from everyone for everyone” is the motto of the event, which is being organized in Neustrelitz for the fifth time. Admission is free, and the open-air event brings back the best memories of carefree summer days. The organizers Doreen Rother, Andrea Meifert, Marten Schröder, Margaretha Hafner-Akazawa and Sophie Dietel have put together a great program.
A total of over 40 musicians, choirs, bands and dance groups have registered, which ensures a great diversity. Spontaneous performances are also welcome: in the evenings, free music-making is offered at the laundry house and on the Buttelplatz. New this year are the venues in the auditorium of the Carolinum high school, where the Neustrelitz Youth Symphony Orchestra performs, and in the Schlosshotel Neustrelitz.
Culinary delicacies
But it's not just the music that will delight the guests, the fête also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: stalls with delicacies such as Langosch, falafel, fish in flatbread and sweet and savory waffles ensure that no one has to go hungry. The end of the event will be celebrated at 9 p.m. on the Schlossberg, where DJs will provide the right atmosphere.
There is great anticipation for the event, and the organizers hope that numerous visitors will fill the streets of Neustrelitz with their cheerful sounds. It remains to be seen whether the event will be able to match the high visitor numbers of the most famous music festivals in Germany this year. Festival lovers can look forward to an unforgettable experience that will meet the highest musical and culinary standards.
The Fête de la Musique in Neustrelitz is not only a feast for the senses, but also an example of the vibrant culture and community in the region. Don't miss this opportunity and join in the celebration!
