The police in Neubrandenburg were alerted yesterday afternoon when the theft was reported in a shop in Kirschenallee. According to Strelitzius's report at around 2 p.m., two perpetrators of a 64-year-old customer had stolen their wallet. The loading person of the supermarket noticed the incident and informed the operating control center of the Neubrandenburg police headquarters, which immediately sent police forces.

Thanks to the precise description of the perpetrators by the victim, an immediate search could be initiated. The officials quickly identified the alleged thieves, a 14-year-old Bosnian young person and a 19-year-old Bosnian woman. As part of the arrest, the police officers found parts of the stolen prey in the suspects, which underpinned the suspicion of theft.
