Halloween chaos in Mecklenburg: Police are called in to disturb the peace!
When the most delicious pumpkins light up and the ghosts creep around the houses, then Halloween is in full swing. The period of celebration from October 31st to November 1st, 2025 brought a lot of excitement in the region around the Neubrandenburg police headquarters. In the districts of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Vorpommern-Greifswald and Vorpommern-Rügen, officials had their hands full trying to keep disturbances and other incidents under control Newsflash24 reported.
Things got turbulent in Demmin at 10:45 p.m. when a group of ten people disturbed the peace with fireworks and loud noise. But young people also caused trouble in Neustrelitz. Foreign fireworks were discovered here at 6:40 p.m., which led to an investigation into a violation of the Explosives Act. Just a few hours later, at 9:30 p.m., a group of 15-20 teenagers caused a stir when they set fire to Halloween decorations and threw pumpkins through the air. Police were called again at midnight when five teenagers disrupted a Halloween party, stole a fire extinguisher and damaged several parked cars. The police estimated the damage at around 300 euros.
Firework displays and calls for bullies
Things were also hot in Vorpommern-Greifswald. In Eggesin, a man opened the front door with a chainsaw at 7 p.m., which shocked his daughter, but no criminal offense could be determined. In Ueckermünde, pyrotechnics were thrown into a crowd at 8 p.m., but fortunately there were no serious consequences. The mess also continued in Wolgast when eggs were thrown against the window of a house at 9 p.m., causing damage to the facade and windows that has not yet been quantified.
The Western Pomerania-Rügen region was not spared. In Stralsund, the police reported an alleged shooting, but no further findings could be made. Interestingly, no particular changes or incidents were mentioned with regard to young people with blank guns.

The celebrations, whether in northern Germany or far away in Asia, bring people together through the joy of horror and celebration.
