Ida & Friends: Thousands celebrate 35 years full of fun and community!

On June 15, 2025, it was called "Celebration instead of work" in Neustrelitzer Bürgerseeweg when the Ida & Friends association celebrated its 35th anniversary with a great day of action. Over 2000 visitors flocked to the event, which turned out to be a complete success - similar to the previous year. The celebrations offered a colorful selection of activities, especially for the little guests.

The children were able to look forward to bouncy castles, face painting and carousel trips, while pony rides provided additional fun. Numerous food options made the festival perfect. A varied program took place on a large stage that inspired the audience. The event was supported by various sponsors who contributed to the great atmosphere.

A special highlight were the main prizes of the lot sale: a Ninja Air Fryer, a Lenovo tablet and a coffee machine waited for lucky winners. The association, which is active for the employment of people with impairments, employs around 500 people and is supported by around 150 employees. The workshops can be found at five different locations and work in the areas of gastronomy, housekeeping, creativity, tailoring, nursery and landscape maintenance.

Another component of the festival was the sale of decorative items made by the employees of the creative sector. In fact, all employees actively helped prepare and implement the action day. The moderate price level for food and drinks, including homemade cakes, was also well received by the visitors.
