Lanterns and music: Hundreds celebrate in Neustrelitz's city center!
On Thursday evening, Neustrelitz city center experienced a real rush of visitors. Hundreds of people streamed into the city, attracted by a festive gathering in the fairground, which was enlivened by colorful lanterns and the rousing sound of the Neubrandenburg fanfare. The mood was exuberant as the fanfare marched happily towards the shopping area. Passers-by used their cell phones to capture the hustle and bustle, while some of the young people wondered whether a demonstration might be taking place here.
The Neustrelitz fanfare was the first to make its way into the city center, followed by the musicians from Neubrandenburg. People stood in several rows to find their way across Seestrasse to the city harbor. This led to an impressive queue all the way to the market square, which filled the city with life. The cheerful sounds of the fanfare could be heard everywhere, not only playing its own pieces but also delighting the audience with a touch of Eastern rock.
More than just music
A special highlight was the illuminated car presented by the fire department, which attracted the attention of those present. Campfires were lit and barbecue stalls were set up at the city harbor, which contributed to the convivial atmosphere. The event attracted visitors of all ages, who ended the evening together and broke the quiet silence of the city center for a few hours.
The Neubrandenburg fanfare procession is celebrating its 45th club birthday this year. The train was founded in 1980 by Carmen Hein in the former Neubrandenburg district hospital. Since then, the fanfare procession has developed into one of the leading orchestras in the region. You accompany a wide range of events with great commitment and take part in competitions with good placements. They also support social projects such as the ASB Wish Car and the Anne Frank Children's Home.
In order to properly celebrate this remarkable anniversary, all former, active and passive members are invited to a big celebration on October 25, 2025 in the Regional School at Lindetal in the Oststadt.
