New restaurant Zeus” in Feldberg: International cuisine delights guests!
In the idyllic Feldberg, a state-recognized Kneipp health resort in the middle of the enchanting Feldberg lake landscape, there is news that appeals not only to guests but also to locals. The traditional hotel “Kaiserhof Feldberg” opened its doors on April 30th after extensive renovation - the total costs amounted to an impressive 2.5 million euros. The new operator, Matthias Nest, acquired the hotel in December 2022 and was not discouraged by the unexpectedly high renovation effort.
The renovation began in January 2023, but it quickly became clear that the renovation backlog was more serious than planned. In addition to the renovation work, Nest also invested 300,000 euros in redesigning the outdoor areas, so that an inviting atmosphere now invites you to linger. The positive feedback from guests from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands speaks for itself: many appreciate the peace and quiet and the relaxing environment.
A new gastronomic highlight
The new restaurant “Zeus” opened on June 14th and has Greek specialties on the menu, making it the first international restaurant in the Kneipp health resort of Feldberg. The operators come from the Uckermark and already run a Greek restaurant in Prenzlau. The restaurant can accommodate up to 170 guests: 60 in the main room, 30 in the side room and an additional 80 seats on the newly paved terrace. Opening times are daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for evening meals. So if you're looking for Mediterranean cuisine, you'll find a new, tasty offering here.
The hotel itself offers its guests a variety of amenities. In addition to an indoor pool, there is a wellness area, which is unfortunately not yet open as the necessary work by the swimming pool technician is continuing. Guests can also play billiards, darts, table tennis or mini golf in their leisure time. And for all those who want to be active, the spa park with Kneipp facilities is just 150 meters away, an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.
An increasing housing situation
The investor Matthias Nest has not only invested in the hotel, but also in the creation of living space in the region. In the current situation, living space in Feldberg is a sought-after commodity. Two double bungalows are currently being built in the residential park at Schmalen Luzin, and the first roof structure has already been erected. Demand is noticeably high and the first apartments have already been rented.
With the hotel's diverse offerings, the new restaurant and the construction projects, Matthias Nest has shown a good knack for making the region even more attractive for guests and residents. Feldberg expects an increase in visitors in the coming months who want to experience the benefits of the Kneipp system, which is based on Pastor Sebastian Kneipp's five pillars: inner balance, nutrition, natural herbs, moderate exercise and the healing effects of water.
The Feldberg lake landscape not only invites you to relax, but also offers numerous opportunities for an active holiday, be it hiking, cycling or experiencing the local nature. The “Kaiserhof Feldberg” has not only developed into the new culinary center, but also into a focal point for health and wellness.
