Ping Pong Palooza in Neustrelitz: games, fun and strong cooperation!

The second ping Pong Palooza in Neustrelitz made the city a meeting point for 60 table tennis enthusiasts on July 9, 2025, under the motto "Play against each other for good cooperation". After the first edition was very well received last year, the anticipation for this event was huge. The games took place on eight plates, whereby the participants competed against each other in seven groups.

The central concern of the event was not only the sporting competition, but above all the joint experience. Visitors: Inside not only as players: inside, but also as an appreciative viewer: inside that could dive into creative play stations. The supporting program was varied: a DJ created the right mood, while the glitter bar made glittering looks. There was also a picnic area in which the participants could fortify themselves.

cooperation for commitment

In cooperation with the German Foundation for Engagement and Volunteering (Dseer), the event was set up. This cooperation aims to strengthen civic engagement, especially in rural regions. The Dseer provided the premises in the Woldegker Chaussee. This commitment and the support of the Dsee are part of a larger project that illuminates the challenges and opportunities of the volunteer in rural areas to promote the community and at the same time strengthen democracy and modern volunteering. The demographic change, the distances between the villages and the lack of contact points are just a few challenges with which these regions have to fight, as the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) determines.

The mood among the participants: inside was consistently positive. One participant named Ute emphasized the anticipation for next year. The final games for the handmade trophies brought additional tension: two final games were played in singles, as well as a generational double that caused great interest.

If you want to enjoy the enthusiasm for table tennis after the event, you have the opportunity to take part in the open game meeting on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Ping Pong Salon at Elisabethstrasse 33. In addition, the Female Ping Pong Club takes place on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. These regular meetings are a great offer for everyone who wants to continue to enjoy playing.

But not enough! The association Bürger, Horst & Freund: Inner e.V. is already planning further events in the Palooza style. A floating plate will be presented on July 25th-another highlight for the table tennis community in Neustrelitz.
