PSV Neustrelitz surprisingly separates from coach Meingast!
In northern Germany there is a fresh wind in volleyball again: PSV Neustrelitz has separated from coach Stefan Mengast after only one year. Team manager Marc Lessing was grateful for the short -term use of Meingast last season, which the club completed in a solid seventh place in the north season after there were some relegation. Meingast took over the scepter in the 2024/25 season from Jonathan Scott, who had previously been a coach of the team for three years and did not extend his contract to make room for fresh impulses. Previously, Mewes Goertz trained from 2020 to 2021, and Dirk Hess was the long -time trainer.
How to proceed now? The search for a new trainer is already in full swing, but so far there has been no official announcement of the successor. It remains exciting, especially since there are also changes in the squad: the farewell to two players is up for discussion. The upcoming 2025/26 season begins in September, and until then those responsible for the association still have a lot to clarify.
a new beginning
to say goodbye to MeinGast it should be mentioned that the contact between him and the club via Jonathan Scott was created, as both used to work in the young area of SC Charlottenburg. Meingast has already led a first training session and got an idea of the team that is preparing for the upcoming season.
The new season for PSV Neustrelitz starts on September 21 with an away game against VV Humann Essen, followed by a home game on October 5 against TuS Mondorf, which is to take place in an alternative location. The second home game on November 2 against Aligse is to be held in the newly renovated Strelitzhalle, whose work should be completed by the autumn holidays.
The coaching requirement grows
In the world of volleyball, it is important to have well -trained trainers. The German Volleyball Association recently trained 24 new A trainers, which is a new record as part of their training programs. Former Bundesliga players like Christopher Schieck impressed with their examination services. The association emphasizes that many of the new trainers are already active in the Volleyball Bundesliga, which should promote sporting development.
The coming months therefore promise a lot for the volleyball scene in northeastern Germany, and it remains to be seen which new pulses of PSV Neustrelitz will set by a new trainer. While the anticipation of the season is increasing, it is clear: a new chapter is imminent and fans can look forward to exciting games.
