Puppet weeks 2025: Fairy tale magic for the whole family!

In the picturesque region of the Mecklenburg small lake plate, it is very fairytale this summer. The popular puppet show weeks offer a colorful program for the whole family from July to August. Laugh on your stomach, scary yourself or just be amazed - all of this is possible here!

Overall, numerous artists and groups will take part in the puppetops weeks this year, including the Dresden figure theater Maren Kaun, Ute Kotte, Cornelia Fritzsche and Christian Bahrmann. This creative troop brings the most famous fairy tales to the stage: "Sleeping Beauty", "Rapunzel" and "The Puss in Broot" are just a few highlights of the program.

Versatile program in July and August

The puppetry weeks are not only a festival for the eyes, they also offer an excellent opportunity to promote the creative side of the children. Overall, you can look forward to various performances, each of which takes about 45 minutes. Entry is free, but guests should cover or bring seat cushions to make yourself comfortable.

The program offers much more. The figure theater Ernst Heiter Heiters will be seen with “The 4 city musicians” right at the beginning of the puppet show weeks on July 7th. Afterwards, Ulrich Müller-Hönow is on stage with "Ms. Holle", while Maren Kaun presents the fairy tale "Rapunzel". The stories are not only entertaining for the children, but also a real pleasure for adults.

A special highlight will also be the doll's gear Figure Theater, which lists "The Puss in Boot" on August 18. Christian Bahrmann closes the series with "Kasper and the Dino", which will surely put a smile on the face of the big and young spectators.

The events are made possible by cities and municipalities as well as with the help of the grants of the Mecklenburg Lake District. This realizes a great cultural program for the region.
