The Rostock youth choir of the St. Johannis Church jumps into the adventure: From July 26th to August 1, 2025, 50 young singers aged 13 to 20 are set up for a seven-day hike through the breathtaking Mecklenburg Lake District. This traditional singing hike takes place for the 47th time and is carried out under the direction of the church music director Prof. Markus Johannes Langer. A singing event that not only combines the voices, but also the hearts!

The hike leads the participants to various churches, where they present their musical performances. The trip starts in the idyllic Castle Stargard, followed by stations in Woldegk, Feldberg, Wanzka, Neustrelitz, Wesenberg and ends in Fürstenberg/Havel. Every evening at 7:30 p.m., a concert is held in another church, in which works by large composers such as Schütz, Bach and Mendelssohn Bartholdy can be heard.
