The anticipation for Christmas is increasing! Many families in northern Germany are currently looking for the perfect Christmas tree. The numerous options for felling a tree yourself are particularly in demand. Northern Courier informed that the forestry offices in the region provide numerous offers to shoot the festive tree yourself.
In the next few weeks there will be great opportunities to buy a Christmas tree and perhaps cut it down yourself. In the district forestry department in Carlshof near Neustrelitz you can cut your own tree on December 13th and 20th, while stocks last. Your physical well-being is also taken care of, as there is food on site. There is also a Christmas tree plantation where the freshly felled trees come from. In Mirow there will be space for sales offers on December 13th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Charlottenhütte on the Mirower Holm.

In Lüttenhagen, in the municipality of Feldberger Seenlandschaft, the Christmas tree sale also starts on December 9th. The Wredenhagen Forestry Office offers Baltic firs in the Satow Hut, as stocks in the state forest are limited. More events
In addition to the offers already mentioned, a very special event will be celebrated in Everstorf, at the Grevesmühlen Forestry Office. On December 23rd, the Christmas tree plantation opens its doors from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Those interested can cut down the hearts of their Nordmann firs themselves and treat themselves to a mulled wine. An ecumenical trombone choir plays traditional Christmas carols and provides an atmospheric setting while the families can prepare the delicacies they brought with them around the open fire. A perfect opportunity to give the run-up to Christmas a special place in people's hearts.
Another highlight is coming up in Johanniskreuz on December 13th and 14th: the “Romantic Forest Christmas”. There you can buy Christmas trees directly from the foresters at the sustainable Christmas market in a beautiful forest setting. The trees are known for their high quality as they come fresh from the surrounding forests. If you want, you can fell your own tree in one day at the Wolfsgrube forestry lodge in Elmstein. Important here: You must bring sturdy shoes and handy tools for your own activity. This not only ensures safety, but also great fun!
