Christmas magic in the State Theater: Burattino is looking for happiness!
The Christmas season is in full swing and with it comes a very special event at the Landestheater Neustrelitz. On December 5th, the new Christmas fairy tale “The Little Golden Key or The Adventures of Burattino” celebrated its premiere. The piece is based on the story by Alexei Tolstoy and was impressively adapted for the stage by Florian Hein. Burattino, our curious wooden hero with the distinctive long nose, makes his way to school, but he quickly falls into the clutches of a scheming puppet theater director and is faced with many challenges. Like the newspaper Northern Courier According to reports, many companions and friends come to his aid and support him.
What exactly can visitors expect? Burattino meets a number of characters who shape his adventures. Larissa Emma Voulgarelis plays the main role and is supported by a diverse ensemble, including Kevin Knobloch as the sinister Kabaras Barabas and Lennart Klappstein in various roles. The visual design of the piece itself, with a stylized stage design and impressive lighting atmosphere, will also enchant the audience. While the protagonists address the themes of friendship, pride and naivety, choral scenes play a central role.
Performances and events
The Christmas fairy tale is suitable for an audience aged five and over and there are numerous performance dates in the program. A total of 17 performances are on the schedule, including morning performances aimed specifically at school classes and afternoon performances for families. The next dates at the Landestheater Neustrelitz are December 9th to 11th, 16th to 18th, 21st and 25th. Children's punch, mulled wine and snacks will be offered on the theater forecourt before and after the event on December 21st - an ideal atmosphere for families and friends to get into the Christmas spirit. Of particular note: the play is already sold out, but returned tickets are available at the box office, so there is still the opportunity to experience Burattino's adventure.
For everyone who hasn't had enough of Christmas fairy tales, Neubrandenburg also has a lot to offer. The fairy tale “The Enchanted Brothers” is performed there, which is also presented by the Theater and Orchestra GmbH. From November 21, viewers had the opportunity to follow this story in which Vasilisa is looking for her sons who were enchanted by the witch Babajaga. Both productions attract a total of around 10,500 visitors, according to the website Strelitzius reported.
The theater invites you to be enchanted by spectacular stories and appealing productions and to enjoy the interplay of adventure and magic during this festive season. There is something for everyone here and the art of storytelling is brought to the stage - a perfect day of celebration for young and old!
