Yesterday evening the time had come in Munich: the world premiere of “The Canoe of Manitu” was celebrated with great joy. Around 3,000 guests found their way to the cinema to experience the sequel to the popular parody “The Shoe of Manitu” (2001). Michael Bully Herbig, who jumps onto the screen again as Abahachi in his inimitable style, was supported by his friend and co-star Christian Tramitz (Ranger).
Things got emotional when Sky du Mont appeared on stage as the main villain Santa Maria. Du Mont announced that this would be his last film shoot. The farewell was marked by tears, especially from Bully Herbig, who looked back on the time together with a nostalgic look. Fans can look forward to lots of references and allusions to the first film that will provide additional laughs.
