The “most beautiful balcony” competition, which took place for the second time in 2023, caused flowering oases in the city. At the beginning of the month, the award ceremony took place in the district. The jury was waiting for the participants, which evaluated the design result, the effort and creativity. Criteria like "Who made the best of his place?" And "Who did a lot with few means?" The focus was on. The winning balcony convinced the jury with its overall concept and loving details. Her conclusion: The balcony exudes horticultural care and personality.

Balcony competitions were also proclaimed in Hanover, which took place in four different quarters: the Vahrenwalder Carré, the island district of List, the district at the Volkspark and Leistikowweg. Here the most beautiful balconies were awarded by a jury. The winners were delighted with attractive prices, including EM fan boxes, supermarket vouchers worth 30 euros and vonovia mini-footballs. A total of three balconies per quarter were awarded, and the jury was impressed by the creativity of the participating tenants.

The trend towards balcony and garden embossing is obvious in Germany. Braunschweig is also called for the design of outdoor areas. The competition there encourages the population to submit photos of their green paradise. In the categories such as "flower splendor", "bee happiness" and "open air living room", the participants can show their best plants, decorations and the ambience. The competitive period ranges from May 15th to August 1, 2024, with a final event in the "Zur Friendship" restaurant.
