SV Warnemünde remains in the association league despite the debacle in the derby!

The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Football Association League has ended its 34th season and is providing exciting stories from the region. The last games were played on June 15, 2025, and the table shows a clear picture. NDR reports that SV Siedenbollentin emerged as champions and promoted to the Oberliga Nordost. A satisfactory result considering that no team from the East and West regional leagues was relegated.

SV Warnemünde ended the season with a bitter derby victory, losing 6-1 in the local derby against SV Pastow. Despite the defeat, Warnemünde remains bottom of the table, but is fortunate not to have to be relegated. The other placings from the region show that the league was anything but boring in the 2024/25 season.

Table overview and season statistics

With a solid third place, SV Pastow achieved the best result among the regional teams, as the table shows:

Looking ahead

Next season promises new challenges, especially for the eight of the sixteen teams that come from the Rostock region. Rostocker FC had to say goodbye to the top league and will have to reposition itself. With SV Siedenbollentin, who will now play in the Oberliga, and the new constellation of the association league, the question remains open as to who has the best cards next year.

The Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League therefore remains an exciting part of the German football landscape. If you would like to find out more about the upcoming games and developments, please visit Kickers are in good hands, providing the latest information and match days.
