On July 8, 2025, the seniors of Bargteheide will say “Off to Schwerin!” The senior citizens' advisory board organizes an exciting full-day trip to the state capital of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which promises exciting experiences. Departure is at 8:30 a.m. from Bargteheide town hall, return is scheduled for around 8:30 p.m. For 92 euros per person, participants can look forward to a smooth and eventful trip that offers many highlights.

The price includes a bus trip and a city tour with the traditional Petermänchen. A special highlight will be lunch in the LUKAS restaurant, followed by a tour of the impressive Schwerin Castle. There, guests can also look forward to drinking coffee in the castle's orangery. Guided tours of the castle gardens and palace gardens are also planned for a detailed exploration. The drinks have to be paid for on site.
