The new football season is just around the corner in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania! The board of the State Football Association (LFV) has determined the relay divisions for the 2025/2026 season, and the anticipation among the fans is great. The details were decided on June 27th and the official season begins today, July 7th.
The withdrawal of SpVgg Torgelow-Ueckermünde is particularly relevant, as it has an impact on the divisions. Despite this challenge, the men's association league remains well positioned with 15 teams, while the state leagues and classes are fully staffed with 14 teams each. A total of 108 senior teams are represented in the game, and the women's association league still has nine teams. Penzliner SV is happy about returning to the big field after the withdrawal of SV Rot Weiss Trinwillershagen.
