Schwerin police: Who knows the suspected robber from Paulsstadt?
In Schwerin the police are looking for a suspected robber. On June 12, 2025, there was an attack at around 7:15 p.m. on Müllerstrasse in Paulsstadt in Schwerin, in which a 61-year-old man was attacked and robbed in front of the front door of a house. According to Nordkurier, the victim was pushed by the perpetrator and was unable to defend himself against the attack. Fortunately, although the man suffered pain, he did not require immediate medical treatment. The police have created a ghost image of the suspect and are asking the public for information about the identity or whereabouts of the wanted man.
The incident shows that crime in Germany, particularly in the area of robbery, remains a serious issue. According to information from Statista, over 38,000 robbery crimes were registered in 2022, which underlines the importance of such cases. With a clearance rate of almost 60%, the clearance rate for robbery crimes is higher than for residential burglaries, which brings hope for the victims.

An older case from December 16, 2019 shows similar patterns: two males attacked a 30-year-old Schwerin woman in the city center near the street “Am Dom”. There the victim was stopped and robbed under threat of violence. The perpetrators stole cash and personal items such as a black leather handbag and the victim's health insurance card. The woman suffered minor injuries in the attack. The description of one of the perpetrators includes a beard, a conspicuous eyebrow and clothing in dark tones, and a strong foreign language accent was also perceived ([Schwerin Lokal](https:// Schwerin-lokal.de/Schwerin-kripo-sucht-raeuber-per-phantombild/)).
