Raid against imperial citizens: secret terrorist plans!
In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the police acted on Thursday, June 16, 2025, with a large-scale raid against a suspected terrorist cell in the Reich Citizens' Milieu. The campaign took place in Groß Wokern in the Rostock district and mobilized around 50 civil servants, including forces of the special use command. The search was carried out on the order of the Hamburg General Prosecutor's Office, which leads an investigation due to politically motivated crime. According to Nordkurier has contributed.
The focus of the investigation is members of the so -called "Empire Group", against which several procedures are already running in German courts. This group plans serious actions, including a nationwide power failure and the kidnapping of the Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD). The aim is to introduce a new constitution, inspired by the Empire of 1871. These plans, which strive for this violent overthrow, show the alarming radicality within the Reich Citizens' Milieus.
What's behind the Reich Citizen Eideology?
The ideology of the imperial citizens comprises a variety of extremist elements, including anti -Semitism, racism and authoritarian attitudes. These ideas reject the basics of the Federal Republic of Germany and instead put anti -democratic concepts such as a guide state or an imperial rule. This goes back to a dogmatic self -image that negates the Basic Law and instead uses ethnic criteria for the definition of nationality. As the Statista Reich citizens the existing laws and the Federal Republic of Germany, which results in expensive conflicts with the legal system.
A look at the numbers
The statistical recording of extremist activities shows a worrying picture. In 2023, almost 40,600 right -wing extremists were registered in Germany, of which 14,500 are considered violent. Over 25,700 right -wing extremist crimes were recorded, which corresponds to an alarming increase in extremist acts that aim to undermine the democratic order.
The raid carried out in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is therefore in the context of a wider trend to combat extremism in Germany and should be seen as a step that is serious about the dangers that assume such groups. The judiciary will continue to be required to counter the challenges of this heterogeneous scene with a consistent and strict approach.
