Schwerin is running! 39. Five-lake run inspires with new routes!
On July 5, 2025, the time has finally come again: The 39th Schwerin five-lake run expects around 3,800 participants who go on the picturesque routes around the Schwerin lakes. This popular event is from the Schwerin Five Sea Run e. V. organized, supported by around 180 helpers who ensure that everything runs smoothly. In addition to a large number of running competitions, the event also offers opportunities for walkers and entire families to do sports.
The program of the day is diverse and ranges from traditional DM children's run to different distances to demanding Hapak half marathon. The following events are open to the sports enthusiasts:
- DM children's run: 1.852 km for children up to 12 years
- Seemeile: 1.8 km around the Burgsee
- 5 km and 10 km Wemag run
- 15 km run
- Hapak half marathon (21.1 km)
- walking and Nordic walking routes over 5 and 10 km
- combination rating from the 10 km run and the half marathon
The best routes in a picturesque setting
The route is another Highlight of the event. Mostly shady paths, a successful mix of fortified bank paths and streets lead the runners along the Schwerin lakes and through passages of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. A dream for everyone who loves running in nature!
There is also a special award for the very small ones: participants in the DM children's run can look forward to a medal and certificate. There are also ratings for families and companies that highlight the common element of sport. Families with at least three relatives and companies are particularly recognized with the best results.
comprehensive planning and registration
If you want to take part in July 5, 2025, you should register in good time. The online message ends on July 1, after which late registrations on July 4th in the Schwerin town hall or on the day of the event itself are possible. Here you can pick up your start documents on Friday, July 4th, in the Demmersaal or on the day of the event from 7:30 a.m. on Bertha-Klingberg-Platz.
The meals on the event will also ensure plenty of pleasure: from the classic pea stew to Bockwurst and fish to ice and beer, there is something for every taste. All participants can look forward to free non -alcoholic drinks from Krombacher. In addition, an open -air shower will be available on the floating meadow - ideal to freshen up after the run.
The integration of an international questionnaire is particularly gratifying, developed by the Humboldt University in Berlin, which serves to qualify health risks. This step is supported by the German Athletics Association (DLV) and aims to raise awareness of preventive health care, and could be valuable for many participants with regard to their own fitness.
Overall, the 39th Schwerin five-lake run promises to become a great event in which sports and community are in the foreground. Whether for the whole family or the sporting ambitions - there is something for everyone here!
