Stadtwerke beach festival inspires 17,000 visitors despite the rain and wind!

Zippendorfer Strand, Schwerin, Deutschland - The Stadtwerke beach festival on Zippendorfer Strand caused enthusiasm last weekend. Despite the inconsistent weather with rain and wind, around 17,000 visitors flocked to this colorful spectacle, which was under the motto "Celebrate, be amazed and participate". Nine ensembles competed against each other, whereby the children's and youth choir of the Singakademie Rostock and the band Mixtape from Rostock and the Schwerin Klönköpp became the winners in their categories. The music program was rounded off by appearances of the jazz comedy and DJ Patrick Keimel, who accompanied the festival atmospheric

Especially for the youngest there were attractive offers in the Stromzwerg-Kinderland, including Nepturneraufe, face painting and much more. And while the children played exuberantly, Inselbäcker Erik Herrmann provided culinary meals with fresh baked goods and fragrant coffee on Sunday.

Active on the island of Kaninchenwerder

Another special experience was the ferry crossing to the island of Kaninchenwerder. This was possible from Bosselmannstrasse and offered visitors the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the environment in natural history tours or when fishing. Yoga, archery and culinary specialties such as the island bread provided an all -round successful program on the island. It is also worth mentioning that the organizers are planning a new edition next year, hoping to enrich and enlarge the festival.
