Last Sunday, September 21st, 2025, the VCO Ladies I had their first meeting in the 2nd Bundesliga North started the new season. They had to admit defeat against Schweriner SC II, clearly with a score of 0:3. The match took place in the host's sports hall in Schwerin and ended with the sets 16:25, 23:25 and 23:25.
Despite the clear defeat, those responsible are in a positive mood. The coaches saw “good approaches” and decent performances, especially after the team initially seemed a bit nervous. “We had our chances, especially in the second set,” reports middle blocker Lisa Lammers, who made it clear in an interview before the start of the season that the team wanted to go into the new season well prepared.

The next match for the VCO women has already been decided: next Saturday, September 27th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Schlosswallhalle they will meet USC Münster II, who also had a successful start to the season. They won their opening game 3-0 against RC Sorpesee, which could be a challenge for the Osnabrück team.
Regional successes
