Aggressive couple on the regional express: Police stop the horror ride!
In recent days, regional train traffic in northern Germany has been rocked by a scandalous incident. The emergency control center of Deutsche Bahn received onNovember 13, 2025Reports of an aggressive couple on the regional express 3304 from Berlin to Stralsund. A 30-year-old German drew attention to himself when he left the train at Prenzlau station, only to get back on shortly afterwards and block the train door.
A customer service representative who tried to speak to the man suddenly found herself faced with a threatening situation. The man walked towards her and raised his fist, causing the carer to flee in panic and lock herself in the duty compartment. The attacker then tried to open the door, but was unable to do so. Instead, he went to the train toilet while the customer service representative rushed into the control car. The couple finally left the train at Pasewalk station, where the alerted federal police were already waiting.
Arrest and investigation
The man's check revealed numerous entries in his police certificate and previous convictions. A breath alcohol test on the spot showed a level of 2.48 per mille, although the man was perceived as relatively oriented. Due to the seriousness of his crimes, various charges were filed: coercion, threats, attempted bodily harm and obtaining benefits by fraud.
This incident is not isolated. The authorities repeatedly observe similar situations in train traffic. For example, there was recently a police operation on an ICE train from Berlin to Munich when a 36-year-old passenger was traveling without a ticket and harassing other travelers. Here too, the police were required to arrest the man after he made obscene comments to a 23-year-old woman and tried to force her out of her seat.
Public safety and rail safety
Recent events shed light on the challenges rail companies face in ensuring the safety of their passengers. Incidents of this kind not only cause delays, but can also increase travelers' worries and fears. In such cases, the federal police quickly take action and check how they can respond better to such emergencies.
Citizens are encouraged to come forward immediately in the event of similar incidents and provide witness reports to increase safety on trains. It remains to be hoped that such incidents will become less frequent in the future and that rail journeys can be enjoyed carefree again.
