Kranorama celebrates its anniversary: delicious schnitzels and exciting lectures!

There is a lot to report in the Vorpommern-Rügen region. On October 15th, the Kranorama on Lake Günzer celebrates a very special anniversary: it has been ten years since this charming place opened its doors. Special offers and interesting lectures attract visitors and create a bit of a party mood in the gray October. Once you're there, you can't miss the impressive cranes. Over 44,000 of these elegant birds were spotted flying in last weekend.

But it's not just the Kranorama that's in the spotlight. The Bartels-Langness logistics center in Wittenhagen has been supplying customers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony since 1991 and recently invested an impressive 3.7 million euros in modern cooling. This investment promises fresh food and could further expand the customer base. However, Mathias Scheunemann, head of the Bela company, emphasizes the challenges in the German food market, which should by no means be underestimated. What this will lead to remains to be seen.

Stralsund seaport – a future-oriented hub

Also important is the Stralsund seaport, a universal port that has established itself as an important logistics center. With its modern infrastructure and high-performance transshipment facilities, the port offers an extensive service portfolio and is optimally connected to sea and inland waterways as well as rail and road. This means customers can be sure that their goods are in the best hands. The newly developed Frankenhafen operating section with a rail connection could further promote the transport transition in the region.

Focus on healthcare and road safety

Unfortunately, the weekend also brought less positive news. On October 13th there was a serious accident on the L30 near Stahlbrode. A motorcyclist crashed into a dump truck and was flown to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. The police estimate the property damage at around 10,000 euros. An expert report has already been ordered to clarify the exact circumstances.

However, there are positive things to say about Sandra Bahr, a dentist from Bergen auf Rügen. She was nominated for her family-friendly working conditions and her support of skilled workers from abroad - a truly remarkable contribution to the region.

In conclusion, Vorpommern-Rügen experiences both ups and downs, but the region has the potential to continue to provide exciting news. Whether in the catering industry, in healthcare or in logistics – it remains to be seen how things will develop.
