Stralsund surprises: music, films and wine festival from August 13th to 17th!

An exciting weekend is coming up in Stralsund! From August 13th to 17th, 2025, the city awaits a series of events that offer something for every taste. The anticipation is great and the announcements promise that it will be an unforgettable experience. On Friday, August 15th, there will be lively live music in the Anker Workshop from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. when the band “Ragadingdong” takes the stage and is sure to create an exuberant atmosphere. In addition, the Leonard Cohen evening “So long, Hallelujah” in the St. Jakobi Church at 7.30 p.m. invites you to indulge in numerous well-known and unknown songs by the legendary artist. Julia Boegershausen, supported by Richard Schönfelder (guitar) and Benedikt ter Braak (piano), will captivate visitors with her performance. Tickets are available at the tourist office as well as at the box office or at Reservix.

Film lovers shouldn't miss the highlight of the evening: The Blendwerk film club is showing the film "Queer" in the Villa Kalkbrennerei at 8:30 p.m., in which Hollywood star Daniel Craig plays the leading role. Released for ages 16 and up, the film promises exciting entertainment.

Experience diversity at the wine festival

The Stralsund Wine Festival on the Hansawiese attracts visitors from August 13th to 17th with international wines and culinary delicacies from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Organizer Detlef Erz announces not only the presence of seven wine suppliers, but also a wide range of food, including cheese, game specialties and churros that will make visitors' mouths water. The Stralsund service clubs, including Rotary, Lions, BNI, Rotaract and Leos, are available for a good cause. The proceeds from the wine bar will go towards building a children's and youth hospice - a warm gesture that shows that celebrating and doing good can go hand in hand.

Another highlight awaits the audience on Saturday, August 16th, when the band IC Falkenberg performs in the St. Jakobi Church at 8 p.m. Tickets for this concert are also available at the tourist office, at Reservix or at the box office.
