A frightening incident occurred on Thursday evening, September 25, 2025, in the Ziegeleipark in Wismar, Northwest Mecklenburg district. A 74-year-old man was attacked while trying to help a 15-year-old teenager. Loud NDR The older gentleman witnessed the young person being attacked by a group of three other young people. The 15-year-old was attacked by the young people in front of the pensioner. When the 74-year-old asked the group not to do this, their aggression was suddenly directed against him. The incident occurred at around 6.45pm and fortunately both the elderly gentleman and the teenager only sustained minor injuries. They received medical care on site, reports Baltic Sea newspaper.
The search for witnesses
The police have now started a search for witnesses, especially first responders who were no longer on site when the officers arrived. Information can be reported by calling 03841/2030 or directly at any police station.
The suspects are between 14 and 16 years old and were dressed in dark clothing. Such attacks are a worrying issue, especially when it comes to the safety of seniors.
