A lot is happening in Emden: The city is planning a comprehensive development of the so-called “Emsmauerquartier”. This is an area of around 18,300 square meters located between Ratsdelft, Emsmauerstrasse, Neptunstrasse and Emsmauerpfad. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of this year. While the plans for the old gymnasium and the adjacent property are still pending, the building permit for converting the Emsschule into a daycare center with offices has already been received, and the progress gives hope for rapid implementation.
