SVG Göttingen loses against TSV Limmer: fifth defeat of the season!

Today, December 1st, 2025, an exciting duel took place in the women's league when SVG Göttingen met TSV Limmer. The result: a 1:3 defeat for the Göttingen women, who suffered their fifth defeat of the season. Coach Robin Gröling was forced to only compete with a skeleton squad because he only had eleven players from the first team available and had to supplement the squad with young players from the second team. Before this game, SVG Göttingen had 25 points from 13 games, while TSV Limmer was in the starting blocks with 17 points and was urgently hoping for a win.

The game began in the 10th minute with a setback for SVG Göttingen: Nele-Victoria Aufurth scored to make it 0-1 for TSV Limmer. The Göttingen women had great difficulty delivering precise passes and could hardly find access to the opponent's goal. Shortly before half-time, Aufurth even increased the score to 0-2 by taking advantage of an insufficiently cleared ball in the penalty area and sinking it into the net. At this point, the SVG was in a depressed mood and was desperately looking for a solution.

Glimmers of hope and missed opportunities

After the break, TSV Limmer was present again. In the 73rd minute, Israa Baghdadi made it 0-3 and seemed to finally steer the game towards Limmer. But SVG Göttingen didn’t give up. In the 77th minute, Jasmin Kochinke managed to reduce the score to 1:3 with a goal. Maja Pfeifer, who helped out from the second team, passed the ball to Kochinke in front of the goal and provided a brief moment of hope. In the final phase, the Göttingen women had further chances, but the longed-for second goal failed to materialize. “The chances in the first half would have been enough to win the game,” said coach Groling after the game.

Particularly noteworthy are the achievements of Jasmin Kochinke on the SVG Göttingen side and Melissa Verseck, who played for TSV Limmer. This game ends the first half of the season for both teams. The second half of the season for SVG Göttingen starts on February 15th against FC Pfeil Broistedt.
