Participatory events in the Hameln Museum: fun for the whole family!
A trip into the world of history and creativity awaits little visitors in the Hamelin Museum! As part of the holiday program, which is currently causing great enthusiasm, the museum invites you to exciting hands-on events on four consecutive days. From July 15 to 18, 2025, children aged 10 to 12 can playfully immerse themselves in the past and create their own little works of art. Whether making historical toys or painting outdoors, there is something for everyone.
The program is intended not only to offer the young participants special access to history, but also to promote their creativity. “We want to give the children the opportunity to enjoy learning about times gone by,” explains the museum director. Interest in such activities remains unbroken as they represent a welcome change to everyday holiday life.
The details at a glance

The historical workshops start daily at 10 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. Parents can be excited to see their children come home equipped with new knowledge and enthusiasm!
Data protection in the digital age
Throughout Germany, and also here in Hanover, compliance with data protection regulations is a hot topic. With the entry into force of the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) on December 1, 2021, the European Union's requirements for the ePrivacy Directive were made more concrete. It is now essential that website operators provide clear information about cookies in order to enable users to give informed consent. The TDDDG requires that information may only be accessed or stored with the user's consent, with few exceptions for technically necessary cookies, such as those used for session management. The requirements are supplemented by regulations of the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).
These new regulations ensure that user rights are given greater consideration while ensuring the security of data processing. Violations can result in high fines, which further increases the attention on the issue. Supervision is the responsibility of the data protection authorities of the countries that have already taken initial measures against illegal cookie banners. This is particularly important in terms of transparency and user trust in digital services.
The integration of data protection into everyday life, be it in museums or in digital offerings, is a step in the right direction. While the children gain creative experiences in the Hamelin Museum, the adults can keep an eye on developments in data protection that ensure responsible handling of personal data.
