Loud News.de A 34-year-old car driver from Godensholterfeld was traveling on Neuscharreler Straße and intended to turn left onto Heetberger Weg. He waited due to oncoming traffic while a 41-year-old driver from Rastdorf stopped behind him.
Unfortunately, a 29-year-old driver from Neuscharrel recognized the situation too late and drove into the Rastdorfer's stationary vehicle. This impact had fatal consequences as the 41-year-old's car was pushed into the 34-year-old's car by the force of the impact. A total of three people were injured in the accident: the 29-year-old and her 60-year-old passenger as well as the 41-year-old driver from Rastdorf. Fortunately, the 34-year-old remained uninjured. The total damage is estimated at around 30,000 euros.
Serious accident on Friesoyther Straße
After the impact, the driver was trapped in the rubble of the demolished vehicle. Alerted rescue workers, including the volunteer fire departments from Friesoythe and Gehlenberg as well as employees of the German Red Cross, provided first aid on site. Firefighters had to cut the woman out of the wreckage before she could be transported to the hospital. Friesoyther Straße remained closed for a long time during the rescue and recovery efforts.
