FC Bergedorf 85 and SV Blankenese III throw in the towel!

Football in Hamburg will be marked by significant changes in the new 2025/2026 season after FC Bergedorf 85 and SV Blankenese III announced their withdrawal from the district class shortly before the first league matchday. This has an impact on the structure of the leagues, which are severely affected. Loud SportNorth Season 3 will now only consist of 15 teams, while only 14 teams will remain in Season 12.

Before the withdrawal, both teams did not play any test matches in June and July and did not play in their cup first round games. This decision is surprising since SV Blankenese III was only registered to play in the summer of 2025. FC Bergedorf 85, which became Hamburg runner-up in 2012 and played in the state league between 2016 and 2018, took third place in the B district class 3 last season.
