Floorball fever has reached Elmshorn! Starting tomorrow, June 18, 2025, anyone interested can try out the exciting team sport of floorball under the guidance of the Mad Vikings Elmshorn. The series of events runs until July 23rd and offers an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of floorball.
The training sessions take place every Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Michael Stich sports hall in Ramskamp 64B. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an old hand – participation is open to everyone aged 16 and over, regardless of gender or level of experience. Rackets and balls are provided by the Mad Vikings; All you need are sports clothing and indoor shoes.
An international team
A special highlight is the diverse team composition. Players from Sweden and Germany create a happy, multicultural atmosphere. The event not only offers the opportunity to learn the game indoors, but also to get active outside on the pitch when the weather is good.
Floorball has become a popular sport in recent years, not least thanks to the success of the Swedish national teams. The Swedish Floorball Federation, founded in 1981 and a member of the International Floorball Federation (IFF) since 1986, has significantly shaped the sport with over 105,000 licensed players and numerous international successes, such as the women's and men's world championship titles. Floorball clubs are very popular in Sweden and high-profile events are regularly held, such as the 2024 Men's World Cup in Malmö and the Champions Cup in Gävle.
