Track and field athletes from Flensburg: Excited about training leisure time in Denmark!

With great enthusiasm and a fresh wind in their sails, LG Flensburg completed their training camp in Lalandia/Rødby, Denmark. This week, a total of 51 athletes from all over Schleswig-Holstein were able to look forward to up to three training sessions per day. Among the participants were 15 athletes from LG Flensburg who wanted to prepare optimally for the upcoming competition season, as [shz.de] reports.

The training period attracted athletes from different age groups who were able to prepare not only physically but also mentally for the first important phase of the season. Daily endurance runs before breakfast, circuit training, strength training, various runs and technical units ensured that sweat was flowing early in the morning and morale remained high. The aim was to lay the foundations for future competitions and strengthen team spirit.

Community and motivation

In addition to the demanding training sessions, social activities were also on the program. The athletes were able to get to know each other better at the nightly team game “Lalandia Force”, an Olympic Games and other leisure sports activities. Workshops were held in the evenings and the time in the cozy 8-person huts was also spent socializing. Jan Dreier, trainer at LG Flensburg and a coach at this leisure event for 26 years, emphasizes how important cohesion is for athletics: “Here we not only train, but also make friends,” he explains, and emphasizes the importance of such events for team spirit.

Another aspect of the training was carrying out motivation analyzes and planning the season. These steps are crucial to recognizing and promoting the talents of young athletes, which is also in line with the goals of Trainer-C competitive sports. An effective training system in athletics not only promotes performance, but also the personal development of athletes, as can be read on [leichtathletik.de].

A look beyond borders

Anyone who deals with efficient training methods will quickly find parallels to places like Durham in England. Rich in history, this city was founded by Anglo-Saxon monks in the 10th century and is now known for its impressive cathedral and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even though it's about completely different things, the history of Durhamu teaches us that teamwork and community are of paramount importance, something that the LG Flensburg athletes were able to experience in Lalandia. The athletes can not only learn from each other, but also draw inspiration from different cultures and traditions.

In conclusion, it can be said that the training camp in Lalandia/Rødby was not just an opportunity to do sports. It was more of a platform for exchange and strengthening the community among the athletes, which will always accompany them in the coming season. Far beyond the training content, it has once again proven true: In athletics, it's not just the result that counts, but also what is achieved within the team.
