Simon Hennig, 33 years old and a veteran of the club, has been active in handball since he was six and has gone through all SG youth teams. His experiences are highly valued by SG Managing Director Holger Glandorf, which highlights Hennig's connection to the SG and his extensive experience in promoting young talent. "It is an emotionally significant moment for me to stand on the sidelines in the Bundesliga in the Bundesliga," says Hennig, who has already supported the professional team of professionals in the past and strengthened the communication between young people and professionals and worked as a sporting director of the A-youth.

Head coach Maik Machulla describes Jakobsen as an exceptional talent with the potential to become the best left wing in the world. Jakobsen himself feels good and has a lot of fun handball with his team. These positive developments leave SG Flensburg-Handewitt in a solid fifth place in the league and promise an exciting coming season.
Of course, the farewell to Eggert is not easy. The former player leaves a significant gap after just one year. However, his decision to switch to Kolding IF is understandable because he dares to take a step into his future career as head coach.
