The importance of home and regional culture
But what makes such events so important? The state portal Schleswig-Holstein shows that the local and regional culture in Schleswig-Holstein not only preserves tradition, but also kept alive in various projects and Meet. The Schleswig-Holstein Heimatbund (SHHB) plays an important role here. He supports the over 200 connected clubs, institutions and associations, promotes education in culture and history and takes care of traditional costumes and folk dance
A central aspect of cultural -historical work in the country is the maintenance of the costumes. These range from magnificent festive costers to simple peasant costumes, each is unique that requires a lot of craftsmanship.
