On Friday, June 27, 2025, an exciting sports weekend is just around the corner in Schleswig-Holstein and especially in Lübeck. Numerous events in various sports promise plenty of variety and competitive spirit.
There are a few test matches on the program in football. On Friday at 1 p.m. 1. FC Phönix Lübeck will face Kolding IF. A tightly packed schedule follows on Saturday: from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. SV Hamberge plays against VfR Neumünster, SSV Jeddeloh plays against VfB Lübeck and SC Weiche Flensburg plays against Holstein Kiel. Ratzeburger SV supporters also have an opportunity to support their team on Sunday with a game against ATSV Stockelsdorf from 12 p.m. The focus here will probably be on goals and exciting actions again!
Handball and more in detail
Handball is no less exciting. The Lübeck Handball Days begin on Friday at 4:45 p.m. with the opening in the Hansehalle. The event promises exciting games on the following days as well as a mini cup for the little handball stars on Saturday at 9 a.m. The finals start on Sunday at 2 p.m. and it will be exciting to see who secures the title. HLSports reports that MTV Lübeck is still the leader in the Schleswig-Holstein League with no loss points and most recently defeated HC Treia/Jübek with 28:25. A proud result that underlines our top position!
The current table shows MTV Lübeck at the top with 38 points, followed by HSG Mönkeberg-Schönkirchen and HC Treia/Jübek. The spectators can look forward to an exciting phase of the league in which every point counts!
Sailing and other sports
Another highlight is the Kiel Week, which calls sailors to the coast this weekend. From Friday to Sunday the regattas for numerous classes such as 2.4mR, Contender or Nacra 17 get underway. It won't just be about victory and placings, but also about the pure enthusiasm for sailing!
Football, handball and sailing are just part of the sporting offerings. On Sunday, for example, the Hachede Triathlon awaits the athletes. The men start at 9:15 a.m., followed by the women at 9:20 a.m. There is also a German Open Water Championship in Rostock, which begins with 10 km competitions for men and women.
