Jazz in the Park: A festival for music lovers on July 27th!

The anticipation for the jazz open-air festival “Jazz in the Park” is growing! On July 27, 2025 from 3:00 p.m., the park behind the Neumünster music school, directly at Haart 32, will be the venue for jazz lovers from the region. This musical highlight is organized by the Neumünster Music School and the Jazz-Club Neumünster e.V., which has been delighting audiences since 2008. This year too, visitors can look forward to a varied and high-quality program.

It starts at 3:00 p.m. with the “Jazz Orchestra Neumünster”, which plays under the experienced direction of Jan-Christoph Mohr. The musicians will make the park ring with their repertoire of swing standards, Latin arrangements as well as funk and fusion titles. The line-up of 13 brass instruments, complemented by the talented singer Joanna Gräbs and a rhythmic group, promises a magnificent experience.

Three performances that inspire

At 5 p.m. the young Bremen quintet “Leo & The Tasty Tensions” continues. Here, listeners can look forward to modern jazz sounds, complemented by entertaining stories from the musicians. With atmosphere and fun, a good mood is guaranteed!

The Hamburg trio “Lübberty” will conclude at 7:00 p.m., consisting of Arne Lübbert (guitar), Lars Hansen (bass) and Anne Diedrichsen (drums). They inspire with their own compositions that combine spherical sounds, straight swing and tight grooves.

Culinary delights and a cozy atmosphere

Physical well-being is also taken care of. The “Inner Wheel” service club and an external caterer offer a wide selection of food and drinks. It is recommended that you bring your own seating or reclining furniture to make yourself really comfortable at this open-air event. If necessary, two tents are also available to provide protection from the sun or rain.

Entry to this festival is free, however donations are warmly welcomed during the event. In this way, every visitor can do their part to ensure that such cultural events can continue to take place in the future.
