On Friday, September 12, 2025, the starting signal was given for the long-awaited Kunstflecken cultural festival in Neumünster. A remarkable event that brings together artists and art lovers in one place. The ArtTour, which serves as the heart of the festival, has five exciting highlights this year.
The presentation of the fashion collection “Tutto in blu” by Birte Maaser is particularly eye-catching. Inspired by the photography of the talented Tom Giesemann, this fashion show offers colorful accents that captivate the audience.
Diverse program for every taste
The opening evening of the ArtTour was packed with various cultural events that can be attended free of charge. Visitors were invited to the KulturWerk Galerie Behrendt at 5 p.m., where Roderich Rusen opened his exhibition “Shell and Core/Anatomy of Proximity”. Here you can admire over a thousand works inspired by jazz, nature and politics. The Bratislavian native has lived in Neumünster since 1970 and brings his very own perspective.
The artistic fashion show “Everything in Blue” followed at 6 p.m. in the foyer of the theater in the town hall, where the creative fusion of fashion and photography could be admired. TachoTinta – Cultural Drag xxs offered an exciting mix of contemporary dance and drag aesthetics on the theater stage at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by various ministries and institutions and is further evidence of the impressive cultural diversity that the festival offers.
The musical highlight of the evening was the opening concert with Stephanie Lottermoser at 8:30 p.m. in the workshop. A rousing mix of soul, pop and jazz awaited the guests here, which certainly created an exuberant atmosphere. Tickets had to be reserved in advance, but unclaimed seats were released free of charge at 8:30 p.m.
Creative highlights until late into the night
The final event with Ollie Gandul Reyes & MM. Kosum took place in the Ceramic Artists' House from 10 p.m. This final performance combined ceramic art with DJ sounds and made the evening an unforgettable experience.
