The 1st BC Wipperfeld demonstrated its strength in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga last weekend. With an impressive 5:2 win against Blau-Weiss Wittorf Neumünster and a clear 7:0 against TSV Trittau, the team once again showed that they are serious title contenders. “Our performance was consistent and clear,” said club chairman Andreas Lamsfuß, expressing his satisfaction with the team’s harmonious style of play.

In Neumünster, Wipperfeld had his difficulties, but ultimately prevailed confidently. While the Neumünster team managed to achieve victories in the 2nd men's doubles and 1st men's singles, BC Wipperfeld was stronger in many other disciplines. Home games and table development

With this strong start, the club benefits from a good place in the table. Currently, 1. BC Wipperfeld is only one point behind Bischmisheim and is three points behind league leaders SV Fun-Ball Dortelweil. The next home games are scheduled for December 20th and 21st in the VOSS Arena, where they want to assert themselves against both TV Refrath and Dortelweil.

Aside from the first team, there was also excitement in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Wipperfelder Reserve had a mixed day with a defeat (2:5) against Spvgg Sterkrade-Nord and an impressive 5:2 win against 1. BC Beuel. New to the squad are the talented Hanna Stachera and Magdalena Kulska, who can now prove themselves in the competition.

“The collaboration between talents in popular sports and competitive sports is now bearing fruit,” reports the club on its website. Over the years, 1. BC Wipperfeld has not only established itself in the league, but has also given eleven young people the opportunity to develop further through cooperation with schools in Wipperfürth and Marienheide.
