Invitation to the hospice presentation: Experience dignity in the twilight of your life!
What's new in Norderstedt? November 6th offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know the Albertinen Hospice in person. Jens Klindworth, the facility's nursing manager, will present the hospice at Kulturkate, Beckersbergstrasse 44, from 3 p.m. The event is organized jointly by the “ BürgerAktiv ” association and the senior citizens’ advisory board and promises an informative afternoon for everyone interested.
The Albertinen Hospice, which opened in 2020, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. The sponsor is a non-profit GmbH consisting of the municipality of Henstedt-Ulzburg, the Albertinen Diakoniewerk and the city of Norderstedt. This collaboration demonstrates the municipality's commitment to an important social institution that is important not only for its residents but also for the entire community.
Care and support
The facility at Lawaetzstrasse 1b offers 14 single rooms that are equipped with palliative care. The philosophy of the hospice aims to enable people with incurable, advanced illnesses to have a dignified and secure end to their lives. An important aspect of care is pastoral and psychosocial support, which is accessible to everyone - regardless of origin, culture or religion.
Why is this approach so important? Palliative care is designed to improve the quality of life until the end, and that is exactly what is important at the Albertinen Hospice. This is where empathy and professional care come together to meet the needs of patients.
