At the picturesque harbor of Kappeln, in the fascinating Baltic Sea fjord Schlei, day trippers can look forward to an unforgettable experience. The “MS Stadt Kappeln” offers a variety of exciting trips through the beautiful Schlei region from April to October 2025. Under the experienced leadership of captain Juliane Sebode, who can look back on over 40 years of experience, and her team, consisting of son Ole Sebode and daughter-in-law Sarah Hahn, the safety and well-being of the guests is our top priority. According to the SHZ, excursionists not only learn about the picturesque landscapes, but also about exciting stories during the tours, which are rounded off with culinary delicacies.
The 2025 season presents a varied program. The highlights include the popular themed trips, such as the exciting Viking tour and the nostalgic routes. A particularly sweet experience is the “Schokoderen Höheladentour”, where the focus is on local chocolate production and samples are offered. These charming excursions are the perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings while enjoying the region's culinary delights - a true feast for all the senses. Special events further enrich the program.
Special events and trips
On August 14th, visitors can look forward to an exciting Crimean reading with Leo Hansen. The fascinating star trips are on the program on October 22nd, 24th and 25th, where guests can spend an evening under the sparkling starry sky. These trips start at 7:30 p.m. and cost €36.00, including a snack and a glass of sparkling wine per person. The Schlei excursion trips also provide information about the possibility of celebrating on board without a trip - charter inquiries are very welcome here!
The trips run from Kappeln to Maasholm, Schimmelünde and Missunde all the way to Schleswig. The departure times can be selected flexibly for July and August, so that everyone can find the time that suits them. “Viking tickets” are also on offer, giving passengers a 20% discount on one-way journeys. So it's worth taking a closer look at the offers!
