Nevertheless, it was Linus Schäfer who struck twice in the 71st and 74th minutes and turned the tide for Oldenburg. With his two goals to make it 2-1, he put the guests on the road to victory. Moses Iwenbuke Otuali Omohe made it 3-1 in the 77th minute.
Referee Maximilian Nie-Hoegen ended the game and VfB Oldenburg was correspondingly happy about the last-minute victory.
